Solitaire 2048

A playing-card theme for the sliding 2048 puzzle. Merge matching ranks to climb from Ace to King. This uses 2048 rules: there are no tableau piles, suit sequences, or traditional solitaire deals.

How to play Solitaire 2048

Use arrow keys or WASD on a computer, or swipe on the board on a phone or tablet. Every tile slides in the direction you choose. Two identical cards merge into the next level.

Two Ace tiles (2) become Two (4); two Two tiles become Three (8). Each successful move adds a Ace or Two tile. A newly merged tile can merge again on a later move.

Reach Jack at 2048 to win, then choose Keep playing to discover Queen (4096) and King (8192). The round ends when the board is full and no neighboring tiles match.

The solitaire collection

All 13 designs in merge order. Match the exact same design to advance one level. The order is a puzzle sequence, not a ranking of power, popularity, or real-world size.

Tips for Solitaire 2048

Keep your highest tile in a corner

Pick a corner and build toward it. Arrange larger tiles along the same edge so smaller matching pairs can feed into your setup.

Look for exact matches

Look at silhouette and color together. Keep matching designs close, make room for new arrivals, and leave your largest tile anchored along an edge.

Leave space for the next arrival

Before sliding, check where every tile will land. Favor moves that free a square and line up another pair, especially when the board is nearly full.

Your score and collection

Each merge adds the new tile’s value to your score. Moves counts slides that change the board. Your saved round and discoveries are independent of the other themes.

Bright collection cards show cards reached this round; faded cards show earlier discoveries. New Game resets the board, score, and moves while keeping your best score and collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you win Solitaire 2048?

Merge two Ten tiles (1024 each) to create Jack at 2048. Choose Keep playing to discover Queen and King.

What is the highest card tile?

King is the last illustrated level at 8192. You can keep merging beyond it; higher values reuse the final picture with a number badge.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Swipe up, down, left, or right across the board. On a computer, use arrow keys or WASD.

Why did my matching tiles not merge?

They need to meet in the direction of your move without a different tile between them. A tile created by a merge cannot merge again in that same move.

Does my progress save automatically?

Yes. Your board, score, moves, best score, and collection save locally in this browser. Refresh to resume. Saves do not sync between devices, and clearing site data removes them.

Does New Game clear my collection?

No. It starts a fresh board while keeping your best score and previous discoveries. Collection cards appear faded until you reach them again in the new round.

Is Solitaire 2048 free?

Yes. Play directly in your browser without a download or account.
